    From the center of Olafsvik, head towards the coastline and follow the signs directing you to Hellissandur. Walk along the main road, which is also known as Suðurgata. Continue on this road for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Útnesvegur. At the intersection, turn left onto Útnesvegur. Continue walking for approximately 2 kilometers. You will see Sjómannagarðr located on your right-hand side at Útnesvegur 360. The maritime museum is situated near the coast, and you can enjoy views of the sea as you approach.

    Although there may not be regular public transport directly from Olafsvik to Sjómannagarðr, you can take a local bus from the main bus station in Olafsvik to Hellissandur. Check the local bus timetable for the latest schedules. Once you arrive at Hellissandur, disembark at the nearest stop and follow Útnesvegur toward the coastline for about 500 meters. Sjómannagarðr will be on your left.
