Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in the city center, start at Hallgrímskirkja, the iconic church. From Hallgrímskirkja, head east down Skólavörðustígur street. At the end of Skólavörðustígur, turn left onto Laugavegur, the main shopping street. Continue walking straight until you reach Tjarnargata. Turn right onto Tjarnargata and walk for about 3 minutes. Visit Reykjavík will be on your right at Tjarnargata 11.

    You can take Bus 1 or 3 from any nearby bus stop in the city. Board the bus heading towards 'Hlemmur', which is a major bus terminal. From Hlemmur, you can either walk or take Bus 6 or 7 to 'Tjarnargata'. Get off at the 'Tjarnargata' stop, and walk to Tjarnargata 11, which is a short 5-minute walk.
