If you are staying in downtown Reykjavík, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus numbers 14 and 18, which both have stops near the Reykjavík Art Museum Ásmundarsafn. Board the bus and make sure to pay your fare (you can use a credit card or purchase a ticket from a kiosk). The bus ride will take about 15-20 minutes. Get off at the 'Ásmundarsafn' stop, which is just a short walk from the museum. Walk towards Sigtún street, and you will see the museum on your left.

Walking
If you are in the city center, you can walk to the museum as well. Start at Hallgrímskirkja, the iconic church in Reykjavík. Head east on Skólavörðustígur street until you reach Hringbraut road. Turn left onto Hringbraut and continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several parks and residential areas. When you reach Sigtún street, turn right, and the museum will be on your right at Sigtún 105.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the rental shops in downtown Reykjavík. From the city center, take the path along the waterfront towards Laugardalur. Follow the signs towards the Laugardalur Valley. Once you reach Sigtún street, turn left, and the museum will be a short ride ahead at Sigtún 105. There are bike racks available outside the museum for parking.
