Getting There

• Bus

  From the Selfoss town center, head to the nearest bus stop, which is located at Hringbraut. Take the bus number 51 towards Geysir. Ensure you check the schedule as buses may not run frequently. After approximately 30 minutes, get off at the stop for Bláskógabyggð. From there, it is about a 20-minute walk to Brúarfoss. Head north on the main road, then follow the signs leading to the waterfall. The pathway is marked and will take you through beautiful landscapes.

• Biking

  If you prefer to cycle, you can rent a bike from one of the local shops in Selfoss. Once you have your bike, head north on the main road towards Bláskógabyggð. The distance is approximately 20 kilometers, and it will take about an hour to reach Brúarfoss. Follow the road signs, and you will see the signs for the falls as you get closer. Make sure to wear a helmet and be cautious of traffic.

• Walking

  For the adventurous, you can walk from Selfoss to Brúarfoss. Start at the Selfoss town center and head north on Hringbraut road. Continue straight, and after about 8 kilometers, you will reach Bláskógabyggð. The total distance is about 20 kilometers, which will take roughly 4-5 hours. Ensure to bring water and snacks, and enjoy the scenic views along the way!
