Getting There

  • Bus

    From the Selfoss Bus Station, take the bus heading towards 'Vik' or 'Reykjavik'. Make sure to check the bus schedules at the station or online. You will need to ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'Kerið' stop. Once you get off, walk back along the road for about 10 minutes, following the signs to the Kerid Crater. The crater will be visible from the road.

  • Bicycle

    If you are renting a bicycle in Selfoss, head north on Laugavegur road. After about 1 km, take a left onto road 35 (Þingvallavegur). Continue on this road for approximately 10 km. Keep an eye out for the sign that directs you to the Kerid Crater. The entrance is just off the main road, and you will find parking available for cyclists.

  • Walking

    From the center of Selfoss, start walking towards Laugavegur road. Once you reach Laugavegur, turn left and continue walking for about 1 km until you reach road 35. At road 35, turn right and walk for approximately 9 km. You will see signs indicating the Kerid Crater. The crater is located a short distance off this road, and you will need to walk about 500 meters to reach the entrance.
