Look for the signs directing you to Froad Háöldukvísl, which will be on your right. Turn onto Froad Háöldukvísl and continue for about 5 kilometers until you reach the parking area near the glacier. Ensure your vehicle is equipped for Icelandic roads, especially in winter.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from the Skaftafell bus stop that goes towards Höfn. You will need to get off at the stop near the junction for Froad Háöldukvísl.
