Car
From Skaftafell, head southeast on Route 1 (Ring Road) towards Höfn. After approximately 20 kilometers, look for the sign for Dverghamrar on the left side of the road. Turn left onto the gravel road leading to the parking area. The drive takes about 20 minutes. There is no entry fee for accessing Dverghamrar.
Public Transportation
Take the public bus (Strætó) from Skaftafell to Höfn. The buses run several times a day, but check the schedule ahead of time as they can vary. Once you reach Höfn, you will need to hire a taxi to take you to Dverghamrar, which is about 15 kilometers away. The taxi fare may range from 3,000 to 5,000 ISK depending on the taxi service. Make sure to confirm the fare before you embark on your journey.
