From Skaftafell, head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road). After about 1.5 km, take the exit towards Skaftafell National Park. Once you enter the park, follow the signs for the Svartifoss Trail. The trailhead is located near the visitor center. Parking is available at the visitor center, and there is no fee for parking. After parking, begin your hike along the Svartifoss Trail, which will lead you to Hundafoss. Keep to the marked paths as you walk for about 1.5 km to reach Hundafoss.
