If you are driving, start from the town of Stykkishólmur, located on the northern side of the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Head southwest on Route 54 towards Snæfellsnes National Park. Continue on Route 54 until you reach the junction with Route 574. Turn onto Route 574, which will take you directly towards the cave. Follow the signs for Sönghellir Cave. The cave is located approximately 15 km from the junction, and you will see a parking area on your right. The coordinates for the parking area are approximately 64.781561, -23.6836649. From the parking lot, it's a short walk to the cave entrance.
