Walking
From the center of Vik, head east on Austurvegur road for about 1.5 kilometers. You will come across the main road, Route 1 (the Ring Road). Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for about 20 kilometers. You will see signs for Þorvaldseyri on your right. Follow the signs, and you will arrive at Eyjafjallajökull Erupts located at Þorvaldseyri, 861 Hvolsvöllur.
Bus
Catch the bus from the Vik bus station. Look for a bus heading towards Hvolsvöllur or to the nearby attractions. Ensure to tell the driver that you want to get off at Þorvaldseyri. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive at the stop, walk towards the signs for Eyjafjallajökull Erupts, which is nearby.
