Getting There

• Walking

  If you are near the Boise Bench area, you can easily walk to Shoshone Park. Start at the intersection of W Overland Rd and S Orchard St. Head north on S Orchard St until you reach W Canal St. Turn left onto W Canal St. Continue walking west for about 0.5 miles. Shoshone Park will be on your right at 2800 W Canal St. The park is open from 6 AM to 10 PM, so plan your visit accordingly.

• Biking

  For a quicker route, consider renting a bike from a local bike-sharing program, which can be found in various locations around Boise. Once you have a bike, start at the Boise Bench area and head towards S Orchard St. Ride north on S Orchard St until you reach W Canal St. Turn left and bike west on W Canal St for about 0.5 miles. You will arrive at Shoshone Park, located at 2800 W Canal St. Make sure to check the bike rental fees, which usually start around $5 per hour.

• Public Transit

  You can also take public transportation to reach Shoshone Park. Check the local bus schedules for route numbers 3 or 4 that service the Boise Bench area. Board the bus heading towards the downtown area and get off at the stop closest to the intersection of W Canal St and S Orchard St. From there, walk west along W Canal St for about 0.2 miles until you reach the park entrance at 2800 W Canal St. A one-way bus fare is approximately $1.50.
