Getting There

From any location in Snake River Canyon, head north on ID-95 towards Riggins, ID. This route takes you along the scenic Snake River. The drive is approximately 30 miles and takes about 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Once in Riggins, look for signs directing you to Hells Canyon. You will take ID-162 west towards Hells Canyon. Follow ID-162 for about 10 miles until you reach the Hells Canyon Wilderness area. Be aware that some sections of the road may be gravel and could require a high-clearance vehicle, especially if you plan to venture deeper into the wilderness.
