Car
If you are traveling by car from the Sawtooth area, head east on ID-75 from Ketchum or Sun Valley. Continue until you reach the junction with ID-20. Take a left onto ID-20 and drive for approximately 30 miles until you reach Challis. Once in Challis, turn onto US-93 North and follow the signs for the Hemingway–Boulders Wilderness. The entrance to the wilderness area is just a short drive past Challis, about 15 miles north on US-93. Look for the signs indicating the wilderness area.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Ketchum or Sun Valley to Challis. The bus service may have limited schedules, so be sure to check the local transit authority’s timetable. Once you arrive in Challis, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service to take you to the Hemingway–Boulders Wilderness, which is about 15 miles north of Challis along US-93. Be prepared for this additional cost as it may vary depending on the service you choose.
