Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car from the Sawtooth area, head east on ID-75 from Ketchum or Sun Valley. Continue until you reach the junction with ID-20. Take a left onto ID-20 and drive for approximately 30 miles until you reach Challis. Once in Challis, turn onto US-93 North and follow the signs for the Hemingway–Boulders Wilderness. The entrance to the wilderness area is just a short drive past Challis, about 15 miles north on US-93. Look for the signs indicating the wilderness area.

  • Public Transportation

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Ketchum or Sun Valley to Challis. The bus service may have limited schedules, so be sure to check the local transit authority’s timetable.
