From Sawtooth National Recreation Area, head south on ID-75 S. Continue for approximately 24 miles until you reach the intersection with ID-55 S in the town of Ketchum. Turn left onto ID-55 S and follow it for about 45 miles until you reach McCall, ID. Once in McCall, follow signs to Payette National Forest, which is accessible from various points in the area.
