If you're starting your journey from the main visitor center in the Sawtooth National Recreation Area, head southeast on State Highway 75 towards the town of Ketchum. Continue on Highway 75 until you reach the intersection with Interstate 84. Take the ramp onto I-84 East toward Boise. Continue on I-84 for about 30 miles. Take exit 29 toward Caldwell. Follow signs for Caldwell and merge onto Franklin Rd. Continue on Franklin Rd until you reach the intersection with South 10th Ave. Turn right onto South 10th Ave and follow it until you reach the Lizard Butte area located at Caldwell, ID 83607. Note that parking may be available nearby for visitors.
