    Getting There

    Public Transit - Train

    From Arlington Heights, walk to the Arlington Heights Metra Station located at 45 W Crystal Street. Take the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The train ride to the Chicago Union Station will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, transfer to the 'L' train by following the signs to the State/Lake station. Take the Brown Line towards Kimball and get off at the Sedgwick station. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to Lincoln Park. Exit the station and head east on W North Ave, then turn south on N Lincoln Park West to reach the park.

    Public Transit - Bus

    Walk to the nearest bus stop at Arlington Heights Road & Northwest Highway. Take the Pace Bus Route 696 towards the Rosemont CTA Blue Line station. After about a 30-minute ride, transfer at the Rosemont station to the 'L' train. Ride the Blue Line towards O'Hare, and then transfer to the Brown Line at the Clark/Lake station. Get off at Sedgwick station and walk about 10 minutes to Lincoln Park by heading south on N Lincoln Park West.

    Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from a local bike-sharing service. Start at the Arlington Heights downtown area and head east on W Campbell St toward N Arlington Heights Rd. Follow N Arlington Heights Rd to the Des Plaines River Trail. Take the trail south and follow it until you reach the Lincoln Park area in Chicago. This route is approximately 12 miles and will take about 1 hour depending on your cycling speed.

    Walking

    If you enjoy walking and are up for a longer trek, you can walk from Arlington Heights to Lincoln Park. Start on E Northwest Highway and head east towards Chicago. Continue straight, following the path that leads you through the suburbs and towards the city. It will take approximately 3-4 hours to reach Lincoln Park on foot, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated.
