    If you are driving from Chicago, take I-55 S from the city. After about 10 miles, merge onto I-294 S towards Indiana. Continue for approximately 25 miles, then take I-55 S exit towards St. Louis. After about 5 miles, take exit 275 for IL-171 S. Continue on IL-171 S for approximately 8 miles. Turn right onto River Rd, and the Santa Fe Prairie Nature Preserve will be on your right at 7300 River Rd, Hodgkins, IL 60525.

    To reach Santa Fe Prairie Nature Preserve using public transport, start by taking the Metra train from Chicago Union Station on the BNSF Railway line towards Aurora.
