Getting There

  • Public Transit

    From Berwyn, head to the Berwyn Metra Station located at 3701 S. Harlem Ave. Once there, take the Metra train on the BNSF Railway Line towards Chicago Union Station. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. When you arrive at the Union Station, exit the train and follow the signs to the CTA 'L' train system. Take the Pink Line towards 18th, and get off at the Damen stop. From there, transfer to the Blue Line towards O'Hare and get off at the Polk stop. After exiting the station, walk east on Polk Street and then head north on S. Halsted Street. You will arrive in the South Loop area of Chicago.

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer to bike, start at the Berwyn Community Center and head east on Cermak Road (22nd St). Follow Cermak until you reach 1st Ave, then turn left and continue north until you reach the Chicago River. From there, follow the river path and take the bike lanes towards downtown Chicago. Continue until you reach the South Loop area. Make sure to use bike lanes and stay safe on the road.

  • Walking

    If you are up for a long walk, start from the Berwyn Metra Station. Head east on 16th Street until you reach the corner of 16th St and Harlem Ave. From there, head north on Harlem until you reach the CTA Pink Line stop at Kedzie. Take the Pink Line towards 18th Street and get off at the Damen stop. From Damen, walk north to Polk Street and then east to reach the South Loop area. This walk will take approximately 1.5 to 2 hours, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes.
