Public Bus
From Arlington Heights, walk to the nearest bus stop for the PACE bus service, specifically the Route 696 bus, which travels to the Rosemont CTA Station. Board the bus and ride for approximately 30 minutes until you arrive at the station. Once you reach Rosemont, transfer to the Blue Line train heading towards O'Hare. Continue on the Blue Line for about 40 minutes until you reach the 'UIC-Halsted' station. From there, transfer to the Pink Line train towards 18th and Damen. After about 10 minutes on the Pink Line, get off at the '18th' station. Finally, walk east for around 10 minutes to reach the South Loop area of Chicago.

Make your way to the Arlington Heights Metra station, located at 45 W. Northeast Highway. Board the Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago Union Station. The train ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station in downtown Chicago, exit the station and walk to the nearby 'Harold Washington Library' station, which is about a 5-minute walk. From there, you can catch the Red Line train heading south towards 95th/Dan Ryan. Disembark at the 'Cermak-Chinatown' stop after about 10 minutes, and then transfer to the Pink Line train towards 18th. Get off at the '18th' stop, and from there it’s a short 10-minute walk to the South Loop area.
