From Berwyn, head to the Berwyn Metra Station located at 6820 16th St. Board the BNSF Railway line towards Chicago Union Station. The train ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Disembark at the Chicago Union Station stop. From there, follow signs to the 'Ogilvie Transportation Center' and exit onto Madison St. Walk east towards Wells St, then turn left (north) and walk towards the State Street intersection. Continue walking north until you reach the Chicago River, then turn right and walk east until you reach East Huron St. St. James Cathedral will be on your left at 65 E Huron St.

From any location in Berwyn, locate the nearest bus stop for the Pace bus service. Take the Pace Route 335 bus towards the 'Cicero Avenue & 47th Street' stop. The ride will take around 15 minutes. At Cicero Avenue, transfer to the CTA Orange Line at the Kedzie station. Ride the Orange Line to the State station. From State station, exit and transfer to the CTA Red Line at the State & Lake station. Ride the Red Line to the Grand station. Once you exit, walk east on Grand Ave, then turn left on State St. Continue walking north on State St until you reach East Huron St. Turn right and St. James Cathedral will be at 65 E Huron St on your left.
