Getting There

• Car

  If you're driving, start by getting onto I-90/I-94 (Kennedy Expressway) if you're coming from the north or I-55 (Stevenson Expressway) if you're coming from the south. Follow the signs to merge onto I-55 South. Take the exit toward 18th St/Cermak Rd and turn left onto W 18th St. Continue straight and turn right on S Peoria St. Follow S Peoria St until you reach W Exchange Ave. The Union Stockyards Gate will be at the intersection of W Exchange Ave and S Peoria St. Make sure to check for parking options in the vicinity, which may incur a fee.

• Public Transportation (Train)

  If you're using public transportation, take the CTA Green Line train from the Loop (e.g., from State/Lake station). Ride the train towards Cottage Grove and disembark at the 18th station. From there, walk south on S State St, then turn left onto W 18th St. Continue walking until you reach S Peoria St, then turn right. The Union Stockyards Gate will be at the intersection of W Exchange Ave and S Peoria St. The train fare is $2.50 per ride.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  For bus travelers, you can take the CTA bus number 18 (18th Street) from various locations in the city. Board the bus heading towards the 18th Street/Peoria stop. Once you get off the bus, walk a short distance to the east until you reach S Peoria St, then walk south. The Union Stockyards Gate will be at the intersection of W Exchange Ave and S Peoria St. The fare for a bus ride is also $2.50.
