Getting There

• Public Transportation

  From downtown Elgin, walk to the Elgin Transportation Center located at 100 W. Douglas Ave. Catch the Pace Bus Route 801, which travels towards South Elgin. Make sure to check the bus schedule in advance for the most accurate timing. After approximately 15 minutes, get off at the stop near State Route 31. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk. Head south on State Route 31 until you reach Vasa Park, located at 35w217 State Rte 31, South Elgin, IL 60177. You should see signs for the park along the route.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from a local rental shop in Elgin. Start your journey by heading south on the Fox River Trail. Follow the trail until you reach the intersection with State Route 31. Turn left (south) onto State Route 31 and continue for about 3 miles. Vasa Park will be on your right at 35w217 State Rte 31, South Elgin, IL 60177. Be cautious of traffic as you approach the park.

• Walking

  If you're up for a longer walk, you can navigate from downtown Elgin directly to Vasa Park. Start by heading south on Douglas Ave until you reach the intersection with State Route 31. Turn left on State Route 31 and continue walking for about 3 miles. Vasa Park will be on your right at 35w217 State Rte 31, South Elgin, IL 60177. This route will take approximately an hour, so wear comfortable shoes and stay hydrated!
