Getting There

  • Public Transit

    Start at the Naperville Transportation Center located at 105 E 4th Ave, Naperville, IL. Board the Pace Bus Route 677 towards Warrenville. This bus runs approximately every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes, and get off at the Butterfield Road and Winfield Road stop. From there, walk north on Winfield Road for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance to Blackwell Forest Preserve, which will be on your left.

  • Bicycle

    If you have access to a bicycle, you can start from downtown Naperville. Head east on the Riverwalk Trail until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Turn left on Washington Street and continue north until you reach Ogden Avenue (Route 34). Turn right and ride east on Ogden Avenue for about 1 mile. Then, turn left onto Winfield Road and proceed north. After about 1 mile, turn right onto Butterfield Road. The entrance to Blackwell Forest Preserve will be on your right after a short distance.

    If you are near the Naperville Riverwalk, start from the Riverwalk's main entrance at 400 S Eagle St, Naperville, IL. Walk towards the east, following the Riverwalk until you reach the intersection with Washington Street. Cross Washington Street and continue north until you reach Ogden Avenue (Route 34). Turn right and walk east along Ogden Avenue for about 1.5 miles. Then, take a left onto Winfield Road and walk north for about 1 mile. Finally, turn right onto Butterfield Road, and you will find the entrance to Blackwell Forest Preserve on your right.
