Public Transport
From Naperville, walk to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Take the BNSF Railway Line towards Chicago Union Station. The train ride takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit the station and walk to the nearby 'Pink Line' L train stop, which is at 210 S Canal St. Board the Pink Line towards 18th & Paulina. Get off at the '18th' stop. From there, transfer to the 'Red Line' at the '18th' station and take it towards 'Howard' for 4 stops. Get off at 'Clark/Division' station. Finally, walk north on N Clark St for about 10 minutes, and you will reach the Chicago History Museum at 1601 N Clark St.
Bus
From downtown Naperville, head to the nearest bus stop on Washington St. Take the Pace Bus Route 855 towards Chicago. The bus ride will take approximately 1 hour and will take you directly to a bus stop near the Chicago History Museum. Once you get off at the stop, walk a few blocks east to reach 1601 N Clark St, where the museum is located.
Walking
If you are staying in a hotel or accommodation in downtown Naperville, you can walk to the Naperville Metra Station at 105 E 4th Ave. From there, follow the public transport route described above. Alternatively, if you are near the DuPage Riverwalk, you can take a scenic walk along the river towards downtown Naperville, which will lead you to the Metra Station.
