From Oak Lawn, head to the nearest bus stop on 95th Street. Take the Pace Bus Route 379 towards the Midway Airport. After about 20 minutes, get off at the 95th Street/Western Avenue stop. Transfer to the CTA Pink Line at the Western station. Ride the Pink Line until you reach the Damen station. From Damen, take the 50 Damen bus north towards Fullerton. Get off at the Fullerton stop near Lincoln Park, and walk east towards South Pond, which is located within Lincoln Park.

From Oak Lawn, walk to the Oak Lawn Metra station. Board the Metra Electric District Line train heading towards Millennium Station in Chicago. It typically takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Millennium Station, transfer to the CTA Red Line at State/Lake station. Take the Red Line north towards Howard and get off at the Fullerton station. From there, you can walk east towards Lincoln Park and find South Pond.
