Once you arrive at Chicago Union Station, exit the station and walk to the nearby CTA 'L' station at Canal Street. Take the Green Line train towards Ashland and get off at the 18th stop, the 'Cottage Grove' station. From there, walk approximately 15 minutes east along 18th Street until you reach S Indiana Ave. Turn right on S Indiana Ave, and you will find the Clarke-Ford House at 1827 S Indiana Ave.

If you prefer to explore on foot after arriving at the Cottage Grove station, exit the station and head east on 18th St. Continue straight for about 0.7 miles until you reach the intersection with S Indiana Ave. Turn right onto S Indiana Ave and walk south for about 0.2 miles. The Clarke-Ford House will be on your left at 1827 S Indiana Ave.
