    From the Naperville Metra Station, take the Pace Bus Route 684 towards Wheaton. The bus typically departs every 30 minutes. Stay on the bus for approximately 15 stops (around 30 minutes) until you get to the stop at 'Herrick Lake'. The stop is located near the entrance of the preserve. From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes to the main entrance of Herrick Lake.

    If you prefer biking, you can start from downtown Naperville. Head west on the Riverwalk Trail until you reach Washington Street. Turn left on Washington Street and continue until you reach the intersection with 75th Street. Turn right onto 75th Street and follow it until you reach Herrick Lake. The ride is about 6 miles and will take approximately 30-40 minutes. There are bike racks at the entrance of the preserve.

    For a scenic walk from downtown Naperville, start at the Naperville Riverwalk. Walk west along the Riverwalk Trail which connects to the 5th Avenue Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue straight onto the bike path. Follow the path until you reach 75th Street. Turn left on 75th Street and walk for about 2 miles until you arrive at Herrick Lake. The total walking distance is approximately 4 miles and will take around 1.5 hours.
