From the bus stop, walk about 5 minutes to the main entrance of Herrick Lake.

If you prefer biking, you can start from downtown Naperville. Head west on the Riverwalk Trail until you reach Washington Street. Turn left on Washington Street and continue until you reach the intersection with 75th Street. Turn right onto 75th Street and follow it until you reach Herrick Lake. The ride is about 6 miles and will take approximately 30-40 minutes. There are bike racks at the entrance of the preserve.

The total walking distance is approximately 4 miles and will take around 1.5 hours.
