From downtown Naperville, walk to the Naperville Metra Station located at 105 E 4th Ave. Take the Metra UP-W train towards Chicago and get off at the Joliet station. Once you arrive at Joliet, exit the station and transfer to the Pace Bus Route 504 towards Joliet. Get off at the stop closest to Collins St, which is a short walk to Old Joliet Prison located at 1125 Collins St.

Rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Naperville. Head south on Washington St until you reach Ogden Ave (Route 34). Follow Ogden Ave east until you reach the intersection with Collins St in Joliet. Turn left onto Collins St and continue for about a mile until you arrive at Old Joliet Prison at 1125 Collins St.

If you’re feeling adventurous and have some time, you can walk to Old Joliet Prison. Start at the Naperville Riverwalk and head south on the Riverwalk until you reach the intersection with Jackson Ave. Continue on Jackson Ave until you reach the intersection with Ogden Ave (Route 34). Turn right onto Ogden Ave and walk until you enter Joliet. Once in Joliet, look for Collins St and turn right. Continue walking for about a mile until you reach 1125 Collins St.
