Getting There

  • Public Transit

    Start at the Naperville Train Station located at 105 E 4th Ave, Naperville, IL 60540. Board the Metra BNSF Railway Line towards Chicago Union Station. After approximately 10 minutes, get off at the Lisle Station. From Lisle, transfer to the Pace Bus Route 714 towards Warrenville. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at Winfield Rd & 2nd St. From there, head south on Winfield Rd for about 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance of St. James Farm Forest Preserve at 2S541 Winfield Rd, Warrenville, IL 60555.

  • Biking

    If you have a bike, start from downtown Naperville. Head west on the Riverwalk Trail until you reach the entrance of the DuPage River Trail. Follow the DuPage River Trail heading northwest for approximately 5 miles. This will take you through scenic areas along the river. Continue on the trail until you reach the intersection with the Great Western Trail. Turn onto the Great Western Trail heading west and follow it for about 2 miles until you reach Winfield Rd. Turn right onto Winfield Rd and ride for about 1 mile to arrive at St. James Farm Forest Preserve.

  • Walking

    If you prefer to walk, begin your journey at the Naperville Riverwalk. Walk west along the Riverwalk until you reach the intersection with Aurora Ave. Turn right onto Aurora Ave and continue walking for about 1 mile. After that, turn left onto the DuPage River Trail and follow it for approximately 4 miles. This scenic route will take you through wooded areas and along the river. Once you reach the intersection with Winfield Rd, turn right and walk about 1 mile to reach St. James Farm Forest Preserve.
