The restaurant is family-owned and aims to deliver a traditional German pub experience.The interior features a wood-carved bar, seating, and décor that evokes the feeling of a German lodge, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The menu boasts a variety of German specialties made in-house, including beef rouladen, schnitzel (available in beef, chicken, or pork), sauerbraten, and homemade sausages. Guests can also enjoy German-American fare, with options like potato pancakes, sauerkraut, and apple strudel. The bar offers a wide selection of German beers on tap, as well as wines and other beverages.Schnell's Brauhaus has a history of German cuisine at this location. Before Schnell's Brauhaus, the spot was occupied by Bauer's Brauhaus, which closed in December 2014. In early 2015, brothers Joel and Brian Schnell took over the lease and reopened the restaurant as Schnell's Brauhaus, maintaining the German theme.

Public Transport
Schnell's Brauhaus is accessible via Metra's Union Pacific/Northwest Line, with the Palatine station located at 137 W. Wood Street. From the station, it's a short walk to the restaurant. Pace bus service is also available in Palatine Township. A one-way ride on Pace is $2.00.
Walking
Schnell's Brauhaus is located in downtown Palatine, making it easily accessible on foot from nearby shops, the Palatine train station, and residential areas. From the intersection of Palatine Road and Plum Grove Road, walk north on Plum Grove Road, then turn right onto W Slade Street. The Brauhaus will be on your right. Walking within the downtown area is free.
Driving
Schnell's Brauhaus is located at 45 W Slade St, Palatine, IL 60067. There is ample parking around the pub. Public parking lots are available, and all lots are open to the public after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, as well as on weekends and holidays. On-street parking is also available, but restrictions may apply between 1:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. Monday through Friday, and between 3:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday. Parking fees vary, with commuter daily fees at $2 for cash and $2.20 for credit/debit card.
