Car
If you are driving to the Anita Purves Nature Center from anywhere in Prairie State, first head towards North Broadway Avenue in Urbana. From the center of Prairie State, take I-74 E towards Urbana. After approximately 5 miles, take exit 183 for IL-130 N/N Broadway Ave. Turn left onto N Broadway Ave and continue for about 1.5 miles. The Anita Purves Nature Center will be on your left at 1505 N Broadway Ave. There is a small parking lot available on-site.

To reach the Anita Purves Nature Center using public transportation, find the nearest bus stop that services the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD). You can take the #5 - Green Route bus towards the Urbana Park District. Get off at the stop near the intersection of N Broadway Ave and W University Ave. From there, it’s a short 0.5-mile walk north along N Broadway Ave to reach the nature center at 1505 N Broadway Ave. Be sure to check the MTD schedule for the latest timings. A single ride fare is typically around $1.00, so have some change ready.
