If you're traveling by car, start from the center of Prairie State. Take IL-178 N towards Oglesby. Continue on IL-178 N for about 15 miles until you reach the junction with IL-71. Turn left onto IL-71 W and continue for approximately 2 miles. You'll see signs for Starved Rock State Park, where Eagle Cliff Overlook is located. Follow the signs to the parking area at the Visitor Center. From the parking area, it’s a 45-minute walk to Eagle Cliff Overlook, so wear comfortable shoes.

For those using public transportation, first take a local bus or a rideshare service from your accommodation in Prairie State to the nearest Amtrak station. Board a train heading towards LaSalle. Once you arrive at LaSalle, you can take a taxi or rideshare service to Starved Rock State Park. The park is about 10 miles from the train station. After arriving at the Visitor Center in the park, it’s a 45-minute walk to the Eagle Cliff Overlook.
