If you are traveling by car, start from downtown Davenport, IA. Head south on Brady St toward E 3rd St. After about 1.5 miles, merge onto I-74 W. Continue for approximately 2 miles. Take exit 1A for IL-92 W toward Rock Island. Merge onto IL-92 W and continue for about 1 mile. Turn left onto Davenport Ave, and you will find the Colonel Davenport Historical House on your right at 701 Davenport Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201. There is free parking available in front of the house.

If you prefer public transportation, take the MetroLINK bus route 30 from downtown Davenport. Board the bus at the nearest stop to your location. Stay on the bus for approximately 20 minutes until you reach the stop at 16th St & Davenport Ave. From there, it is about a 10-minute walk to the Colonel Davenport Historical House. Head south on 16th St toward Davenport Ave, then turn right onto Davenport Ave. The house will be on your left at 701 Davenport Ave, Rock Island, IL 61201. The bus fare is $1.00.
