Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From Schaumburg, head to the nearest bus stop at Woodfield Mall. Take the Pace Bus Route 600 towards Arlington Heights. Ride the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the 'Schaumburg & Golf' stop. Transfer to the Metra train at the nearby Woodfield Metra Station. Board the train heading towards Chicago Union Station. After about 45 minutes, disembark at the 'Ogilvie Transportation Center.' From there, take the CTA Brown Line train towards Kimball. Get off at the 'Fullerton' station. Exit the station and walk east for about 10 minutes to reach Fullerton Beach.

    Begin your trip at the Schaumburg Metra Station located at 123 N. Springinsguth Rd. Board the Metra train on the Milwaukee District West Line towards Chicago. Stay on the train for about 45 minutes and get off at the 'Ogilvie Transportation Center.' From Ogilvie, walk to the nearby Washington/Wells subway station. Take the CTA Brown Line train towards Kimball and disembark at 'Fullerton' station. Upon exiting, walk east for about 10 minutes to reach Fullerton Beach.

    If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from various bike-sharing stations around Schaumburg. Start from Woodfield Mall and bike southeast on Golf Rd. Continue to follow Golf Rd until you reach the intersection with I-90. Cross over and join the bike path leading towards the city. Follow the bike paths towards Fullerton Ave, and then turn left. Continue until you reach the beach area. This ride will take approximately 1.5 hours depending on your pace.
