From Schaumburg, head to the nearest Metra station, which is the Schaumburg Metra Station located at 2050 N. Meacham Rd. Take the UP-NW (Union Pacific Northwest) line towards Chicago. After approximately 45 minutes, disembark at the Ogilvie Transportation Center. Exit the station and walk to the nearby Washington/Wells station to catch the Pink Line train towards 18th. Get off at the 18th station. From there, walk south on S. Paulina St. until you reach W. 18th St. Turn left and walk until you reach S. Prairie Ave. The Glessner House will be on your right at 1800 S Prairie Ave.

From Schaumburg, take the Pace Bus #696 towards the Rosemont station. Ride for about 30 minutes and get off at the Rosemont station. From there, transfer to the Blue Line train towards Forest Park. Ride for approximately 40 minutes and get off at the Polk station. Exit the station and walk south to W. 18th St. Turn left and walk until you reach S. Prairie Ave. The Glessner House is located at 1800 S Prairie Ave on your right.
