From Schaumburg, head to the nearest METRA train station at the Schaumburg station. Board the Metra Union Pacific Northwest Line train towards Chicago. The journey will take approximately 40 minutes. Disembark at the Ogilvie Transportation Center in downtown Chicago. From Ogilvie, walk to the Washington/Wells 'L' station and take the Brown Line towards Kimball. Transfer at the State/Lake stop to the Red Line towards 95th/Dan Ryan. Get off at the Chicago stop. Finally, walk east on Chicago Ave for about 10 minutes until you reach 220 E Chicago Ave, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

From Schaumburg, take the Pace bus route 711 towards the Rosemont CTA station. After about 30 minutes, transfer to the Blue Line train at the Rosemont station towards O'Hare. Ride for 12 stops and get off at the Washington station. Walk east on Washington St until you reach Michigan Ave, then turn left and walk north for about 5 minutes to reach 220 E Chicago Ave, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.
