From the Schaumburg Town Square, head southwest on Schaumburg Rd. Continue walking for about 1.5 miles until you reach the intersection of Schaumburg Rd and Meacham Rd. Cross Meacham Rd to stay on the west side of the road.

Continue walking west on Schaumburg Rd for another half mile. You will see signs for Volkening Lake as you approach the park entrance. The park is located at 900 W Schaumburg Rd, which will be on your left.

From the Woodfield Mall, take the PACE bus route 606 towards Harper College. Get off at the stop near the intersection of Schaumburg Rd and Meacham Rd. Walk 0.5 miles west along Schaumburg Rd to reach Volkening Lake.

If you’re near the Schaumburg bike trails, head toward the Poplar Creek Trail. Follow the trail south until you connect with the path leading west toward Schaumburg Rd. From there, continue biking west until you reach Volkening Lake at 900 W Schaumburg Rd.
