Start at the Waukegan Metra Station, located at 100 S. Genesee St. Take the North Central Service (NCS) train towards Antioch. Disembark at the Gurnee Mills station. From there, exit the station and walk north towards Gurnee Mills Mall. At the mall, you can find the bus stop for the local Pace bus service. Board Pace Route 565, which will take you directly to Six Flags Great America. The bus will drop you off at the entrance of the park. Make sure to check the Pace bus schedule for the exact times.
Taxi or Ride-share
If you prefer a more direct route, you can use a taxi or ride-sharing service like Uber or Lyft. Simply request a ride from your current location in Waukegan to Six Flags Great America, which is located at 1 Great America Parkway, Gurnee, IL 60031. The drive should take approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Make sure to confirm the driver's destination before getting in the vehicle.
Bicycle
If you're feeling adventurous and prefer to ride a bicycle, you can cycle from Waukegan to Six Flags Great America. Start by heading west on Washington Street until you reach the intersection with Green Bay Road (Route 131). Turn left onto Green Bay Road and continue south until you reach the intersection with Grand Avenue (Route 132). Turn right onto Grand Avenue and head west. After approximately 2 miles, you will see signs for Six Flags Great America on your right. Please ensure to use bike lanes where available and wear a helmet for safety.
