The Partition Museum is located in the heart of Amritsar, within walking distance of the Golden Temple and Jallianwala Bagh. From the Golden Temple, walk south along Heritage Street towards Town Hall. The museum is located inside Town Hall, opposite Brother's Dhaba. This is a 5-7 minute walk. There is no cost for walking.

From Amritsar Junction Railway Station or the Madan Lal Dhingra Inter-State Bus Terminal, take an auto-rickshaw to the Partition Museum. The museum is located inside the Town Hall on Hall Road, Katra Ahluwalia. Negotiate the fare beforehand. Auto-rickshaws typically charge ₹40-₹60 from the railway station and ₹20-₹40 from the bus stand to the Golden Temple area , from where you can walk to the museum.
