A tribute to Punjab's brave soldiers, showcasing the state's martial history and honoring their sacrifices in defending the nation.
Located on the outskirts of Amritsar, the Punjab State War Heroes Memorial & Museum commemorates the bravery of Punjab's soldiers in defending the nation. Inaugurated in October 2016, the museum showcases the state's martial traditions and military campaigns through photographs, illustrations, artifacts, and interactive panels. The museum features a 45-meter high stainless steel sword, symbolizing the courage of the Punjabi people. Inside, eight galleries display exhibits from the era of Guru Hargobind Singh Ji to the Kargil War. Visitors can see weapons, uniforms, and personal belongings of soldiers, along with a MiG-23 aircraft and models of the INS Vikrant. Two Pakistani tanks captured during the 1965 and 1971 wars are also on display. The memorial also includes walls inscribed with the names of nearly 3,500 martyrs.
