Getting There

  • Bus

    From Chennai Central Railway Station, head to the bus stop located just outside the station. Take bus number 5B or 19. These buses will take you directly towards Thiruvanmiyur. The journey will take approximately 45-60 minutes depending on traffic. Get off at the Thiruvanmiyur bus stop. From there, you can either walk or take an auto-rickshaw to Kalakshetra Foundation, which is about 1.5 kilometers away. If walking, head south on Kalakshetra Road until you reach the destination.

  • Metro

    Take the Chennai Metro from any station and board the train towards the Chennai Airport. Get off at the Thiruvanmiyur Metro Station. Once you exit the station, you can take an auto-rickshaw or walk. If walking, head west on 1st Main Road, then take a left onto Kalakshetra Road. Kalakshetra Foundation will be on your right side after approximately 1.2 kilometers.

  • Auto-Rickshaw

    If you are at a central location in Chennai, you can easily find an auto-rickshaw to take you to Kalakshetra Foundation. Just tell the driver 'Kalakshetra Foundation, Thiruvanmiyur.' The ride from central areas should take around 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic.

    If you are already in the Thiruvanmiyur area, you can walk to Kalakshetra Foundation. Head south on Kalakshetra Road, and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. Look for the signboards directing you to the Foundation, as they will help guide you to the entrance.
