From Ukhimath, hire a local taxi to Chopta, approximately 30 km away. There is limited public transport to Chopta, with only one bus service from Guptkashi/Ukhimath. Taxis are readily available from Ukhimath. Expect to pay around INR 1500-2000 for a taxi from Ukhimath to Chopta. During winter, roads may be closed due to snow.
Air
To reach Chopta by air, fly to Jolly Grant Airport in Dehradun. From the airport, hire a taxi to Chopta, approximately 220 km away. Taxis are easily available from the airport. The taxi fare from Jolly Grant Airport to Chopta ranges from INR 4000 to INR 5000. Alternatively, take a bus from the airport to Rishikesh or Rudraprayag and then hire a taxi to Chopta.

To reach Chopta by train, take a train to Haridwar or Rishikesh. From Haridwar/Rishikesh, hire a taxi or take a bus to Chopta. The road distance from Haridwar to Chopta is approximately 226 km. Taxis and buses are available from Rishikesh to Srinagar, Rudraprayag, Ukhimath, and Chopta. Taxi fare from Haridwar/Rishikesh to Chopta ranges from INR 3000 to INR 4000.
