Buddha Jayanti Park: A Tranquil Oasis in Delhi

Located in the heart of Delhi within the Central Ridge Reserve Forest, Buddha Jayanti Park is a sprawling green space dedicated to Lord Buddha and his teachings. An eight-foot copper statue of Lord Buddha is positioned on an island in the center of an artificial lake, adding to the park's tranquil ambiance. The park is also home to various trees, including Gulmohar, Amaltas, and Keekar, providing shelter for diverse bird species. Buddha Jayanti Park is a popular spot for morning walks, picnics, and meditation. The park is particularly vibrant during the winter months (October to February) when the vegetation is lush and the air is filled with floral scents. Buddha Purnima and Buddha Jayanti are celebrated here annually in May with great enthusiasm.
