Discover more about The Garden of Five Senses

The Garden of Five Senses, inaugurated in February 2003, is a unique park designed to stimulate sight, smell, touch, hearing, and taste. Located in Saidul Ajaib village, near the Mehrauli heritage area, the garden spans 20 acres and offers a serene escape from Delhi's bustling city life. Designed by architect Pradeep Sachdeva, the garden was developed by the Delhi Tourism and Transportation Development Corporation with the aim of creating a space for social interaction, cultural engagement, and environmental sustainability. The garden is divided into several distinct theme areas, each designed to evoke a specific sensory experience. The Khas Bagh, inspired by Mughal gardens, features lush green lawns and water channels. Neel Bagh showcases colorful and fragrant flowers, while other sections include herb gardens, bamboo courts, and a solar energy park. Contemporary artworks and rock-carved sculptures are scattered throughout the garden, inviting visitors to touch and explore. The garden also features an open-air amphitheater for cultural events and a food court. The Garden of Five Senses is not just a park; it's an immersive experience that engages all the senses. The diverse flora and fauna, coupled with the art installations and water features, create a harmonious blend of nature and art. The garden hosts various cultural events, including food festivals and art workshops, making it a vibrant hub of community activities.
