Getting There

Walking

From the main market area of MG Road in Gangtok, head northeast towards Nam Nang Road. Walk along this road until you reach the junction at Deorali. From here, take a left onto Tadong Road. Continue straight for about 1.5 kilometers, and you will come across a sign indicating the direction to Bakthang Waterfall. Follow the signs, and you will walk through a scenic path leading you to the waterfall.
Public Transport (Shared Sumo)

From MG Road, walk to the nearest shared taxi stand and board a shared Sumo taxi heading towards Tadong. Inform the driver that you wish to go to Bakthang Waterfall. The taxi will take you close to the waterfall entrance. After getting off, you will need to walk approximately 500 meters down a well-marked path to reach the waterfall.
Cycling

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Gangtok. Start from MG Road and head towards the Tadong area. Follow the same route as mentioned for walking, cycling along the Tadong Road. Keep an eye out for road signs pointing towards Bakthang Waterfall, and cycle for about 1.5 kilometers before parking your bicycle at the designated area. From there, walk the remaining distance to the waterfall.
