Start at MG Marg, the main market area in Gangtok. From MG Marg, head towards the Secretariat Road. You can ask locals for directions or follow signs pointing to the Secretariat. Walk along Secretariat Road for approximately 1.5 kilometers. As you approach the Vishal Gaon area, look for a sign indicating Tsuglakhang Monastery & Temple. The entrance is located on the left side of the road. The monastery is situated on a small hill, so be prepared for some stairs as you ascend to the temple.

From MG Marg, locate the nearest bus stop where local buses operate. Take a bus heading towards Vishal Gaon; these buses are frequent and inexpensive. Inform the conductor that you are going to Tsuglakhang Monastery. Once you reach the Vishal Gaon area, get off at the stop closest to the monastery. Follow the signs or ask locals for directions towards Secretariat Road, where the monastery is located. You may need to walk a short distance uphill to reach the temple.
