Direct buses depart from the Panaji KTC Bus Stand every 15 minutes and take approximately 16 minutes to reach Old Goa. The fare is approximately ₹12-₹19. Alternatively, shuttle buses operate from major cities like Panjim, Mapusa, Margao and Vasco to Old Goa until January 5, 2025. A one-way ticket from Panjim to Old Goa costs ₹20.

Taxis are readily available from Panaji to Old Goa. The journey takes around 15 minutes and costs approximately ₹350-₹420. Several taxi services operate in Goa, including pre-paid services and app-based options. From Dabolim Airport, a taxi to Old Goa takes approximately 23 minutes and costs ₹600-₹800.

If arriving from Divar Island, a free ferry service connects to Old Goa. The ferry operates from 6:00 AM to 2:15 AM. Note that in November 2024, a trial ferry service was introduced from Panaji to Old Goa to ease traffic during the Exposition of the Sacred Relics of St Francis Xavier. This service may or may not be available.
