Walking
If you are already near the riverfront area, you can walk to Brahmaputra River View Point. Start from a nearby landmark, such as the Assam State Museum or Gandhi Mandap. Head towards the river and follow the paths leading to Pandu Temple Ghat. The viewpoint is situated along the riverfront, and the walk should take about 30-40 minutes.
Public Transport
From the city center, you can take a local bus heading towards Maligaon. Look for buses marked with 'Maligaon' on their front. Get off at the Maligaon bus stop. From there, you can either take a short auto-rickshaw ride to Pandu Temple Ghat or walk approximately 20 minutes. To walk, head down Pandu Temple Ghat Road, and you will reach the river viewpoint.
Taxi/Auto-rickshaw
If you're in the city center, such as near Paltan Bazaar or Gandhi Mandap, you can take an auto-rickshaw or taxi. Tell the driver 'Brahmaputra River View Point' or 'Pandu Temple Ghat'. The ride should take about 30 minutes depending on traffic. You'll pass through busy streets and eventually head towards the riverfront area. The driver will drop you at Pandu Temple Ghat, which is very close to the viewpoint. Taxi fares in Guwahati start @ 10.40 INR per km. Auto-rickshaws require fare negotiation before the ride.
