Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are starting from Gwalior Fort, exit the fort area and head down towards the city. Once you reach the main road, take a right onto the main road leading to Gwalior City. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers until you reach the Gwalior Railway Station. From the station, continue walking straight on the main road for another 2 kilometers until you reach the intersection with the National Highway 44 (NH44). At this intersection, take a left turn onto NH44 and walk for about 3 kilometers. You will notice signs directing you towards Chiruli and the Scindia Palace. Follow these signs as you continue along NH44. After approximately 1 kilometer, you will see a sign for Scindia Palace (Kothi) on your right. Turn onto the road leading to the palace, and continue for about 500 meters until you reach the entrance.

    For a more convenient option, you can take a shared auto-rickshaw from Gwalior Railway Station. After you exit the station, look for auto-rickshaws waiting outside. Inform the driver that you want to go to Scindia Palace (Kothi). The ride will take approximately 20 minutes, depending on traffic. The driver will take you along NH44 towards Chiruli. Make sure to tell the driver to drop you near the entrance of Scindia Palace (Kothi), which is marked by prominent signage.
