Walking
Start from the City Palace, which is centrally located in Jaipur. Head northeast on Chandpole Bazar towards the Badi Chopar. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with MI Road. From there, turn left onto MI Road and walk straight for about 1.5 km until you reach the entrance of the Nahargarh Fort Road. Follow Nahargarh Fort Road, which is a steep uphill road, for approximately 3 km. You can enjoy the scenic views along the way. The fort entrance will be on your right. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes, as the path can be steep.
Public Transport (Bus)
From the Chandpole Bus Stand, take a bus heading towards Nahargarh Fort. Buses run frequently, so you shouldn't have to wait long. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Inform the conductor of your destination, and they will let you know when to get off. Once you disembark, follow the signs or ask locals for directions to the fort entrance, which is a short walk from the bus stop.
Cycle Rickshaw
Find a cycle rickshaw from a nearby location, such as the City Palace or any busy market like Johari Bazaar. Negotiate the fare (around INR 100-150 is reasonable) and ask the rickshaw puller to take you to Nahargarh Fort. The ride will take approximately 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic. The rickshaw will drop you off near the fort entrance.
Trekking
For the adventurous, you can trek to Nahargarh Fort from the base near the main road. There are several trails leading up to the fort, offering stunning views of Jaipur. Start from the base of Nahargarh Fort Road, and follow the marked trails. The trek will take about 1-2 hours, depending on your pace. Ensure you carry enough water and wear appropriate footwear.
